From St. Louis to Niagara Falls to Palmyra to New Hampshire all within 30 hrs!
We started out Thursday night and drove ALL through the night. We arrived at Niagara Falls at 9am and saw all the sights. It was THE coolest thing ever. Anthony and I had always said, "maybe one day it might be fun to go and see" but since it was on our way we thought, why not? It was a once in a life time thing and we are so glad we did it!
Here we are at the Cave of the winds, you go down 20 stories (hope your not claustrophobic) and a short walk through a cave you come out to this series of Water Falls. There's Ellie and Anthony all geared up and ready to go!

Then we went over to the Maid of the Mist were we suited up again and made our daring journey to the thick of the waterfalls. There's the boy's hiding out from all the water coming in. And that picture on the bottom left is how you get down to the Boat, pretty spectacular Eh?
We had a picnic and loaded back in the car just in time for a nice little snoozer!
Don't they look comfortable...?We made it to Palmyra in a couple of hours, just in time to let the kids get out and stretch. The Sacred Grove was fantastic. London has been very interested in the Joseph Smith Story (especially the story when his leg gets cut into, Gross).
We got to walk around the woods for quite a while, then we saw the house that Alvin built (His parents and family moved in shortly after) and when Alvin died at age 25 they planted a tree in memory of his life, which still stands today (bottom left picture) I thought that was the coolest! While walking on the dirt path we turned to our left and to our amazement saw the Palmyra Temple peeking through the trees as if it were purposely planted in that exact spot to be seen from the Smith Farm. We ate dinner there on a picnic blanket and made the rest of the 7hr journey to Anthony's brothers house.
Next post....Lake Winnipesaukee!
