Fun times up North

...Then we drove up to Ferndale to visit with my family. 3 of my brothers were able to come and hangout while we were there.

We always have some crazy adventures when we're up North. So here it goes,

When we arrived a long time friend and his family came to hang out with us. It was so great to see them! The last time we saw them was when their oldest was just 1 year old and he is now 6! Crazy!

The kids didn't waste anytime catching up with cousins and playing like they've been long time friends forever.

Ellie and Rhett, who is just a few months younger then her, hit it off and just followed each other around making grunting noises and pointing to were they wanted to go.

The kids had a blast picking Raspberries, Blackberries, and Blueberries in my parent's back yard and making a wicked awesome fort under the kiwi vines. Playing in the woods, getting dirty, jumping on the trampoline...

and building with Legos.

Some friends were out of town and let us swim in their pool it was much to fun!

We had a blast spending time at my parent's house. I LOVE their yard.  It's so much fun and soooo beautiful.

We went swimming at the beach. James and London had a blast climbing all over the rocks, I had a hard time keeping up with them and making sure that they didn't plummet to their deaths ;) I had to keep reminding myself that we used to do the same crazy stuff when we were little and they are awesome little climbers so they would be ok.

While Grandma and Grandpa took the kids home for dinner the adults stayed out and ate at Super Marios Taco Bus and had Papussas and some ventured and had a Tongue burrito. It was all super tasty!

We then went to Mallards, our favorite Home Made Ice Cream place, sat in there, talked and laughed until it got pretty dark. Then we headed back up Chuckanut Dr. to  Teddy Bear Cove (which used to be a nudist beach, and for the longest time my mother would not permit us to go to that beach ;). My parents told us that if you hike down there when it's completely dark, the Algae is Fluorescent., and by golly they were right. It was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. Just dig through the sand a bit and all of a sudden you see things start to sparkle. Then if you walk out into the water and swish your feet around it has a sudden glow. It really was the neatest thing I'd ever seen.

It was so much fun seeing family again and laughing and talking, and sharing YouTube videos :)

Then we woke up early and headed for home. The plane ride was great and the kids did wonderfully!
